Tanner's New Moon Chair

Mom and Dad got Me (Tanner) a new moon chair!  I took over my parents' chair a few years ago... and then it got all mildewy so they had to get rid of it!  I've been without a chair for a while but look what they returned home with after going shopping! It's a new chair for me!

Happy 4th of July!

Now we'll admit that we're not big fans of this day. Not that humans shouldn't be happy about their Independence but the fireworks are another story! Really do we need them EVERYWHERE? Some of us (at least Nala and Tanner) are trying to relax and get some rest.

The poppers started early this morning but that's to be expected on such a day!  But Mom got up and put some clothes on and took us away from the noise! We went on a few trips to tire us out before the worst of the festivities begins.  We started at Starbucks (Dad needed his Venti Americano) and our day started at the Reber Ranch Dog Park!  Afterwards, we hit Lake Wilderness for a little swimming and grass rolling and ended up at Issaquah's Petco because Poo Poo Point trail was crazy busy! Mom got Nala a calming collar which seems to be helpful in the house (that and all the pre-popper stuff)  so now we're chillin' couch-side napping our afternoon away.  There are some scary noises out there but at least we have our Mom and Dad and that seems to be helping a lot!

That turquoise collar is the calming thing. Even if the pheromone isn't working, the Lavendar Chamomile smell probably helps Nala some.

This morning was too much excitement for us!

Another Camping Trip!?!

Ok so we're all still really tired and we got our "Humom" to load photos from out latest trek! This time we went into the woods of the Orca Islands. (2 hours north and about 1.5 of ferry before we got there... thats a lot of time for 2 dogs in the car) We stayed in Moran State Park by Cascade Lake. Nala of course was nervous, and Tanner did lots of sniffing and swimming while mom and dad canoed! We saw several deer (which Tanner scared away) near our site, and on our walks.

Wedding and Camping

Woah, it's been awhile since we wrote! That's because we went to Moab, UT for a wedding and right after we went camping in the desert. I (Tanner) wore a tie my mom got for me to look good and Nala wore a flower but she was so scared it broke free! You know what made this trip fun? The hotel room! We got to sleep on the bed at a hotel! We went hiking, climbed some rocks that scared Dad, Mom and Nala but it was fun! Oh, and there were scary cows and working dogs (they actually have to do stuff... not just roll over and shake hands!?!) that almost trampled our campsite. Those working dogs worked fast though!!! They kept the cows from our tent which would have been really scary! All in all we were exhausted at the end of it because there were new smells, and there wasn't much grass for Nala to go potty!

I've been in the car now for 4 hours and still going strong! Only dad and I haven't napped yet...the girls have taken several. I like this traveling stuff and soon we'll be at a wedding and on to camping! I can't wait to mark...

Tanner's Wedding Ready
